One of a Kind Cerebellum and Brainstem Reflective Prints - GREG DUNN NEURO ART

IMPORTANT NOTE- All of the small and medium sized prints sold out on the first day and pretty much only large and XL prints remain. I am planning on reducing the size of some of the XL prints currently for sale and making them into a lot more small and medium sized prints which will be released in mid October. Prints range in size from 4″ X 6″ (10cm x 15cm) up to the gigantic 47″ X 86″ (120cm x 220cm). Pricing is based on size of images, please pay close attention to sizes from the dropdown menu.

Place your order on this page first to reserve your print, and then email me with a framing request which we will take care of separately. The only framing option available for these is a simple black, solid wood frame with antireflective and anti-UV glass.

These one off, highly individual prints are mostly from the cerebellum (any images labeled Cereb in the dropdown menu), the brainstem (labeled Brainstem), and the pons and superior colliculus labeled accordingly. The cerebellum is a particularly beautiful structure involved in proprioception, movement, and many other functions, laced with the large and complex Purkinje neurons that receive up to 100K synapses each from the small granule cells in the layer below. The Purkinje neurons in turn send their axons into the dentate nucleus, one of the deep cerebellar nuclei, and from there up the superior cerebellar peduncle and into the red nucleus in the midbrain.

The brainstem and pons are peppered with smaller nuclei performing basic for life functions, as well as the huge swaths of axons coming from motor cortex into brainstem.

These prints are all one of a kind, there are no duplicates. All of them have the exact same color scheme and reflective effects (gold outlines). Please select options from the dropdown menu to see what the actual print you selected looks like. The prints shown are nearly exact, though there might be very small variations here and there (prints 0.5″ off on the crop here or there). They vary wildly in size, so pay close attention to dimensions please (all dimensions are listed in inches)

All other images and video on this page are for color, reflectivity, and style reference ONLY. The only place on this page where you are seeing the exact image you will be purchasing is the image that comes up when you select a print from the dropdown menu.

Prints are not signed or stamped directly so that you can hang them in any orientation you want. They will come with separate certificates of authenticity that describe size, print type, etc.

Prints are on a heavy mylar vinyl substrate and are printed with UV inks. Though UV inks are light stable, I recommend against hanging these in direct sunlight for long periods of time.
